Meet the Team

Christine Stanko, MD, FAAD

Christine Stanko, MD, FAAD, has been practicing dermatology in Bryn Mawr, PA since 2003 and founded Bryn Mawr Dermatology in 2005.

“My work has always required an attention to detail. I ensure every person has a good experience at our practice. I often ask myself: ‘If this were my family member, how would I treat him/her?’ I treat patients like my own family. For me that is the ultimate test if a physician is serving patients well.”

Lina Husienzad, MD, FAAD

Dr. Lina Husienzad is a New Jersey native who graduated from Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia.

“I make a point to connect with my patients, educate them on the disease, and work with them to construct a treatment plan, so that they can feel empowered during the treatment process.”

Christian Albornoz, MD, FAAD

Dr. Christian Albornoz is a board-certified Dermatologist specializing in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology.

“As a kid I had horrible eczema that was tricky to treat. I finally found a great dermatologist who not only cleared up my skin, but invited me to shadow him. Now that I am in practice, I find tremendous fulfillment in improving my patients’ lives with similar chronic skin conditions, and I try to pay it forward by regularly welcoming students and residents to shadow in my clinic.”

Seana Covello, MD, FAAD

Dr. Covello is a board certified dermatologist who started her education at Fordham University . . .

“Every day, I have the opportunity to help my patients feel powerful, beautiful, and strong. It is an honor to sit and talk with my patients, to learn their stories, and to help improve their specific skin concerns.
My goal is to help my patients leave my office happier than they came in.”

Brett Miller, MD, FAAD

Dr. Brett B. Miller is a board-certified Dermatologist and a fellowship-trained Mohs surgeon.

“I chose to specialize in Mohs Micrographic Surgery because it is the most precise medicine available to combat the most prevalent cancer in the world. I have the pleasure of spending hours with every one of my patients while creating their most aesthetically pleasing surgical outcome.”

John Peters, MD, FAAD

Dr. John Peters is a board-certified dermatologist and fellowship-trained Mohs surgeon.

“As a Mohs surgeon and dermatologist, I am most grateful for the opportunity to positively impact lives. Every procedure is a reminder of the trust placed in me—a responsibility I approach with humility and dedication. My joy comes from connecting with patients and helping to restore hope, confidence, and a sense of self as we work together to nurture their skin’s health.”

Rae Calamia, PA-C

Rae Calamia chose to pursue a career as a physician assistant (PA) after several years of working for a medical device company.

Lynn Williams, PA-C

Lynn Williams joined the Bryn Mawr Dermatology team in June of 2015 but has been practicing dermatology in the Philadelphia area since 2003.

“Providing medical services to the absolute best of my ability, in every situation, for every patient, is my ultimate priority. I love working with the BMD team because I know that we all have the same goals, work as a cohesive group to accomplish them, and manage to have fun doing it!”

Shannon Del Grande, PA-C

Shannon Del Grande is a passionate physician assistant (PA) with half-a-decade of both medical and cosmetic dermatology experience under her belt.

“I find that working in dermatology keeps me balanced. I get to diagnose and treat serious medical conditions in addition to performing cosmetic procedures that make people feel instantly better about their appearance. There is so much value in both types of patient care.”

Lilly Moss Parllaku, PA-C

Lilly is another home-grown Pennsylvanian and spent her childhood in West Chester.

“As an undergrad I had the opportunity to work as a Medical Assistant in a locally renowned dermatology practice. I was instantly enthralled with the medical artistry required to provide comprehensive dermatolgical care. When you are dealing with the most visible organ of the body you are not only treating the physical aspect, but the aesthetic and emotional as well. From that experience on, I knew I had to end up in dermatology.”

Katie Venesky PA-C

Katie Venesky started her career as a physician assistant (PA) in 2009 after graduating with her Master’s in Physician Assistant studies from Marywood University.

“I chose to work in Dermatology because it is a speciality where you can help people from the inside out. Improving someone’s skin health can do so much for their overall sense of well being, and knowing that I help patients reach their whole-health goals on an everyday basis is so rewarding.”

Theresa Kueny, PA-C

Theresa Kueny joined Bryn Mawr Dermatology in 2024, bringing with her over 13 years of experience as a Physician Assistant in the specialty of dermatology.

“Everyone deserves to feel good in their skin, and working in the field of dermatology allows me to provide meaningful and impactful interactions to help patients attain that goal. I have the ability to treat harmful conditions like skin cancer, and can also improve patients’ quality of life by diagnosing and treating skin conditions that can limit their comfort and self confidence.”

Mary Parkinson, LE, CLT

Mary Parkinson started out in the esthetic industry in 1981 after graduating from the Wilfred Academy School of Beauty with honors.

“I’ve had the opportunity to work both for myself and for other privately owned salons and clinics, so I understand how difficult it is to provide superior services, for reasonable costs, without cutting corners. I’m proud to say that at BMD we never compromise on any aspect of the services we offer.”

Rachel Ivanoff, LE, CTL

Rachel Ivanoff began her career in the cosmetic industry as a General Manager at Ulta Beauty, where she led a full-service salon of hairstylists and estheticians for five years.

“I am so passionate about being alongside someone on their transformation journey. I love uncovering each person’s natural beauty and helping them recognize it. Building these relationships and watching patients grow in confidence is what makes this career so rewarding for me.”

Marijana Smajic, CE, CLT

Marijana is a licensed medical aesthetician with more than 20 years of experience helping clients achieve healthy, radiant skin.

“My philosophy centers on personalized care and building trust, ensuring every client feels confident, supported, and valued throughout their skincare journey.”
